I have a great new feature coming soon.
I have been working on a new feature.
I hope you all will like it, I can't mention what it is as of yet but blogdumps bloggers will be even better!
There have been a lot of blogs created so far we are around the five hundred mark and more everyday.
I noticed a lot of you are just using the default theme you may change the look and feel of your blog from you dashboard and clicking on presentation, widgets and backrounds.

Import Your Blog To a Free Wordpress Blog.
Yes, now you can import your blog hosted somewhere else to your free Wordpress blog here at BlogDumps Bloggers.
This was tested and it worked well with blogger see the test blog at import.blogdumps.net There are many other blog platforms that can be imported.
Just create your new blog and you will find the import tab under "manage" on your new BlogDumps Blog dashboard.
So if you are looking at making a change to a new blog host it is now possible.

Photo Uploads
When writing a blog post sometimes we want to add a picture.
Go to your admin panel first.
Go to the Tab "WRITE" and click on it
Adding A picture is done by scrolling down the write page - you will see the words "upload" and "Browse all" To the right you will see the word "Browse", when clicked it will browse your computer so you can get the file the photo is in. Add a title to the photo and a description then Click Upload and it will upload your picture.
If it says the file is to large you must use the software that came with your camera or adobe Photoshop and Re-size the photo to a smaller size...(Recommended size is 300 pixels or less) that in turn makes the file size smaller and your blog page will load faster.
Re try to upload the photo and upon success you will have options...full size, use just a thumbnail ( very small) and send to the editor.
When you send to the editor it will add the picture to your blog post.
If you don't like the location of the picture high lite the picture code right click with your mouse and "cut" put your cursor where you want the picture and paste.
If you have questions use the discussion board this way we can answer them and everyone can see the answers.

The Visual Rich Editor
This is found where you update and change your password on the dashboard of your new blog.
It's down the page a little in the left. If you use the visual rich editor you CANNOT use the media uploder.
So if you want to use the media upload please uncheck the visual rich editor box.
Media Upload: When you go to your admin panel and click on the tab labeled write...
Here you will find tabs below the word Write like... Post b i link b-quote etc...
If you click on media you can put a youtube video url, Meaning ("address" ...http://www.youtube.com/watch?1234@)
And it will add it to your blog post.
You can use the SWF ( shockwave Flash File) the same way as the media tab. If a friend sends you an swf file you can add it to your blog post By Clicking SWF and adding the address.
Not using the visual rich editor has it's advantages while writing posts you have more options.

Promotional Blogging Tips For Your New BlogDumps Blog
I just wanted to share a few tips on how to gain readers for your new blog on BlogDumps.
First I would go to Technorati.com and claim my blog. Use the quick claim option, I have tested it for Blogdumps blogs and it works fine. Now everytime you write your post will be picked up and indexed by Technorati this is a good thing. next...
Fill out your profile and grab an "add this to my technorati favorites button"
You can add this button by clicking on the presentation tab on your dashboard then on widgets and add a new text box to your side bar. Click on the configure button on the text box you just added and paste the code from technorati in the box, Make sure to click save changes! Now when readers from other blogs stop by they can add you to their favorites.
The next thing to do is join some blog directories.
If they have a widget to display on your blog you can add it to your sidebar using the same instructions you used for the Technorati button, but put it in it's own text box.

This is just a few of them there are a lot more but theese sre the ones I recomend.
Next thing is go to your plugins tab and activate the Sociable plugin.
This will add the social bookmarks to each of your blog posts. This allows your readers to save your post in their favorite bookmark site. See the bottom of this post it says share and enjoy that's it.
The most important thing is to write good original blog posts, it doesn't matter on what just write it.
Now one of the best things you can do and the most important is to go around and read other blogs and leave comments... Not Hey great blog! Read their post, leave a comment on the topic of their post. Visit them often and comment they will in turn visit you and comment back.
